The Bug Lady, a veteran kindergarten teacher, began offering her distinctive learning experiences in 2008 with the support of her former teaching colleagues, her husband, and the community. Accompanied by hundreds of animals and insects, she has visited nearly 700 schools and introduced nearly 20,000 children a year to the magic of the natural world.
The Bug Lady’s Science Academy was born in 2015 from a desire to unite critical early learning, social-emotional development, and unique animal encounters in a genuinely different and exceptional learning environment. The Bug Lady loves nothing more than to spend her days surrounded by children and animals in the positive, energetic atmosphere she envisioned.
